September 10, 2011 is the inaugural 9/11 National Day of Service. Groundwork Anacostia River DC will support this effort by creating the opportunity for more than 200 volunteers in the region to engage in service on that day. Participants will clean and revitalize parks, water trees, gardening, and much more! Individuals and organizations who answer the call to action will recognize that together we can honor a national day of sorrow with service.
